Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no watermark. You can try everything right away; to download or share your file you create a free account with Google or email.
Why do I need an account to save?
It keeps Quick PDF free and lets us improve it. The account only holds your name, email and how many files you saved. Your documents are still edited and saved on your device and never uploaded.
Do you upload my files?
No. Quick PDF works inside your browser. Your PDF is read, edited and saved on your device, and never sent to us or anyone else.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It was built for phones first and works on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. On Android you can add it to your home screen like an app.
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
Yes, for PDFs that contain real text (most PDFs made on a computer). Tap “Edit text”, then tap a line. Quick PDF covers the old words with the page color and writes your new words in a matching size and a similar font. The old words are hidden, not deleted. If they must be gone for good, also use Redact. Scanned PDFs are images, so there is no text to tap; you can still add text and white-out.
How does redaction work?
Draw boxes over what to hide, or tap a line of text. When you download, every page with a redaction is rebuilt as an image with the boxes burned in, so the hidden text no longer exists in the file. Those pages will no longer have selectable text.
Is my signature saved?
Only in this browser on this device, so you can reuse it. Clear it from the signature panel any time.
How do I fill a PDF form?
Open the form and tap any box to type. Tick checkboxes and choose options. When you download you can flatten the form so it can’t be changed.
Can I merge PDFs and photos together?
Yes. Open the Merge tool and choose PDFs and images. Drag pages into order, then download one PDF.
How much can Compress shrink a file?
It depends on the file. PDFs with photos or scans shrink the most. “Balanced” keeps text sharp and recompresses images. “Smallest” turns every page into a compressed image (text is no longer selectable).
Can you remove a password I don’t know?
No. Unlock only works when you type the correct password.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device’s memory; a phone handles typical documents (up to a few hundred pages) fine.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After your first visit the editor is saved in your browser and keeps working without internet.
